Charlotte Hall Veterans Home Hosts Annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet Honoring Community Service

Charlotte Hall Veterans Home proudly hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet on Friday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m., celebrating the extraordinary individuals and groups whose dedication and compassion enrich the lives of our veteran residents each day.

The event brought together volunteers, staff, and leadership to recognize the meaningful and lasting impact volunteers have across all areas of the Home. From supporting recreational and therapeutic activities to assisting with special events, operating gift shop and activity carts, providing one-on-one visits, and contributing to campus beautification projects, volunteers play an essential role in enhancing quality of life for residents.

Their service brings comfort, companionship, dignity, and joy to those who have served our nation, and the banquet served as a heartfelt expression of gratitude for their ongoing commitment.

Program Highlights

The ceremony featured a meaningful program honoring service and community partnership, including:

🎀 Opening Remarks delivered by Peter Pantzer, Chief of Staff for the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families

🎀 Closing Remarks delivered by Sharon Murphy, Interim Director of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home
