Students Bring Connection and Joy Through Ongoing Visits with Residents

April 17, 2026

Residents recently enjoyed another meaningful visit from students of the Dr. James A. Forrest Career & Technology Center, continuing a growing connection that has quickly become a valued part of community life.

During their time together, students and residents engaged in a variety of activities—from playing games and sharing stories to exploring technology on tablets. These interactions create a welcoming and relaxed environment where friendships can naturally develop across generations.

While each visit brings smiles and laughter, the impact goes far deeper. For many residents, opportunities to regularly connect with younger members of the community are limited. These visits provide not only social engagement, but also a renewed sense of connection, purpose, and belonging.

Residents have come to truly look forward to these moments, often speaking about the visits long after they end. The students’ continued commitment to returning and spending time together has made a lasting impression, and their presence is sincerely appreciated by all.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the students and staff for their dedication to building these meaningful relationships. Their kindness and consistency continue to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents, and we look forward to many more visits in the future.
