Sadie Dickerson, Director of Transportation, who joined us in February 1986! 38 years later, Sadie continues to shine in her role here scheduling and commuting residents to and from appointments in the community. It didn't always start that way - Sadie previously worked as a CNA at a Facility in Clinton. When the Delegating Nurse of her former facility left to work for Charlotte Hall, she asked her if Sadie would join her - So she did! Sadie was one of the first in the facility to take the class to become a Certified Medicine Aide and later became the Central Supply Coordinator while working part-time as an Assistant Scheduling Coordinator. As our Skilled Nursing Facility opened up, she would help set up beds and coordinate appointments as the new Director of Transportation! Since then, Sadie has won countless awards including the "Wow Award" for scheduling upwards of 500-600 appointments a month! Sadie holds great pride in her work here at Charlotte Hall, she was a former member of the CHVH Color Guard and embodies her motto daily "Give back to those who have served". She claims to have no regrets about the length of her time here, crediting her staff who are a blessing when they come in ready to work, "You've got to have a heart for what you're doing" |
